Local Clubs

Cycling Saddlemen
A cycling group based in Dearborn who Host the Hines Park Time Trials as well as other rides and tours throughout the year.
Wolverine Sports Club
A cycling, speed skating, and cross country skiil club based in metro Detroit
League of Michigan Bicyclists (LMB)
A non-profit, statewide group working to improve condiotns for bicycling in Michigan. They host a number of tours throughout the year and have created maps for many shoreline tours along the Great Lakes.
Ann Arbor Bicycle Touring Society (AABTS)
A cycling group that plans road and mountain bike rides in the Ann Arbor and Plymouth areas. They publish a bi-monthly calendar and how One Helluva Ride in July.

Local Bike Shops

Two Wheel Tango
A bike store with two locations in Ann Arbor, and one of our sponsors for 2009. A great place for all bikes, parts and service, as well as a terrific staff.
Bikesport
A bike store in Derborn, specializing in high-end triathlon, road and mountain bikes. Free Computrainer rides while the shop is open - call ahead for details.
Cadence Cycle
A bike store in Saline, specializing in high-end triathlon, road and mountain bikes. You will see their riders at most local races. They have an excellent staff with great experience with repairs and fitting.
D&D Bicycles
A bike store with four locations, including one in Westland, with great service, sales and mechanics. A wide range of entry level bikes with a very friendly staff.
Fraser Bike and Fitness
A bike store in Fraser that carries everything a cyclist needs. They sell many different brands of bikes, as well as parts and clothing. Friendly staff will help you choose what you need. Computrainer sessions for winter riding are available in their large multi-rider area. Call for details.

Local Tours

Listed below are a few of the local tours and rides that members participate in. Please let bike@swimfasttrifast.com know if you would like another ride listed and if you would like to be a contact person for FAST members with questions.

Tour de Livingston - October 10th, 2009
A day long tour through Livingston county
Road Bike – Four distinctively different 25 mile loops that begin and end at Mt. Brighton. You will have the opportunity to ride 25, 50, 75 or 100 (or more!) paved road miles. Due to the excellent course layout, you will be able to take a rest stop at Mt. Brighton and refuel before the start of your next 25-mile adventure.
Mountain Bike – After a short dirt road ride you will have your choice of 3 different single-track off-road loops.
      * Lost Loop – 2 easy miles
      * Murray Lake Loop – 7 challenging miles
      * Torn Shirt Loop – 5 difficult miles
Family Fun Loop –
An easy route consisting mostly of pave bike paths with several ice cream shops near the half-way point! Est.5 miles .
