| Distance | Award Level |
|---|---|
| 1,500 miles | Copper Award |
| 2,000 miles | Bronze Award |
| 3,000 miles | Silver Award |
| 5,000 miles | Gold Award |
| 8,000 miles | Platnum Award |
To give you some idea of how much biking this is, Jaret Johnson, our VP of Biking has given the following estimates:
- Copper and Bronze would be for someone biking between 75 to 100 miles per week during the summer.
- Silver would be for someone biking consistently 100 miles per week during the summer in addition to spring training. Ideal bike volume for a beginner level Half Ironman athlete.
- Gold would be the level that a serious Half Ironman triathlete or a committed Ironman triathlete would train at.
- Platinum would be the level that a serious to top level Half Ironman and Ironman triathlete would train at.
